DNS - Akamai and Coradiant Provide Global End-User Visibility for Customers

Akamai (News - Alert) Technologies has partnered with Coradiant Inc to unveil Coradiant TrueSight Edge for Akamai, a custom-built, software-based product that provides performance visibility into Web applications delivered by Akamai.

The TrueSight family of products is simple to use and provide the voice of the web user inside the enterprise. They help the customers in various functions such as determining the user impact of a network changes, helping decide where to increase system capacity, or reporting on the service level of delivered web applications.

With interactive dashboards and geographic drill-down capabilities, Coradiant TrueSight Edge for Akamai offers detailed viewer, traffic, and performance metrics. Also, to ensure consistent service levels and better adoption of Web applications globally, the product is designed to help enterprises gain greater visibility into end user performance. This allows the companies to easily eliminate additional costly capital expenditures for datacenters and server infrastructure.

"With clear visibility into the end user experience on a global basis, organizations can quantify the impact of the Akamai Web Application Accelerator service," said Willie Tejada, vice president, Application and Site Acceleration at Akamai.  "Our joint solution gives our enterprise customers insight into the performance of their Web applications that makes it possible to rationalize their application delivery investment."

With this new product, companies can improved visibility into end user performance and ensure consistent service levels and better adoption of Web applications globally. It includes an easy-to-deploy, software-based virtual appliance that is located in the customer's data center. The interactive, built-in dashboards and detailed statistics enable IT to monitor end user performance of their applications delivered over the Internet.

In August 2009, Delve Networks, a provider of video platforms, entered into a strategic relationship with Akamai Technologies for offering customers a comprehensive and innovative video publishing solution. This includes video management and delivery including support for next generation variable bit rate streaming technologies. Delve's solution provides customers with solutions for publishing video online, including video content ingestion, encoding, content management, syndication, and analytics.
