DNS - Web Sites Protected Using an AI Engine

BinarySEC (News - Alert), www.binarysec.com, a French company that is looking for partners in the United States and the rest of Europe, has introduced a state-of-the-art firewall and antivirus Web application known as WebFense.

Unlike tools that are based on signatures and handwritten filters, WebFense features an artificial-intelligence (AI) engine that can learn which requests are legitimate.  It analyses incoming traffic and, over time, blocks requests deemed to be malicious. The learning process lasts for one week, during which time the website remains fully operational. The engine can manage several hundred million requests per hour and the web-caching system produces an acceleration of between 10% and 200%.

No updates are required, a feature that provides protection against so-called zero-day attacks. The software package, which is sold by subscription within the SaaS (News - Alert) model, is compatible with all websites and web servers. The platform is operated and managed at BinarySEC data centers and any website can be protected in minutes.

In addition, the solution allows users to easily their own site. The 500 users currently using BinarySEC technology include professional web-hosting companies, Internet publishers, e-commerce websites, and a range of institutions.
