DNS - Dionex Picks AccelOps for Automating Security and Compliance Capabilities

AccelOps, a provider data center and cloud service monitoring software, has stated that they have been employed by Dionex to automate, centralize and scale its security and compliance capabilities and at the same time reduce log management costs.

Dionex has maintained that they advanced from their Cisco (News - Alert) MARS security appliance to AccelOps virtual appliance to realize greater functionality, interoperability and investment protection.

The AccelOps integrated datacenter and cloud service management solution that is to be deployed by Dionex increases service reliability and operational efficiency by providing end-to-end visibility across performance, availability security and change management. Delivered as Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)), AccelOps provides a single pane of glass into IT from a 360° service perspective – linking the physical and virtual infrastructure directly to the business and business services.

AccelOps will help Dionex consolidate, monitor, analyze, report and retain volumes of log and event data across 2 data centers and 30 locations throughout the United States.

AccelOps has claimed that their solution delivers local operational data capture with as-needed scale and 95.5 percent availability. An annual subscription covers operational data analysis, online retention, online and phone support, as well as continuous service monitoring, updates and maintenance.

Eric Hoy, manager of IT Global Network Services at Dionex has stated that they needed broad operational visibility and given the question of Cisco MARS' on-going maintenance and device support, they felt it was time to extend their security and network monitoring capacity. AccelOps provides greater SIEM functionality, versatility and efficiency compared to using multiple tools. Migrating from Cisco to AccelOps was easy as the system is very automated and robust.

Hoy added that AccelOps not only addresses security and compliance, but also presents key service, performance and availability details and reports that can allow their team to be more proactive, and eliminate other redundant and limited IT management utilities, such as Solarwinds.

Imin Lee, CEO of AccelOps noted that they welcome organizations to compare AccelOps integrated security information event management and data center monitoring capabilities, and like Dionex, take advantage of their offerings.
