DNS - Cox's Comprehensive Security Suite is 'Always on Duty'

Cox Business (News - Alert), a broadband communications company, has extended its Security Suite service to Cox Business Internet subscribers, helping them to safeguard business software and data.

This free service to its Internet subscribers is powered by industry-leading McAfee (News - Alert) SaaS security technology, and protects computers and file servers from viruses, spyware and hackers. It provides automatic updates throughout the day, and runs immediate patches when new viruses surface suddenly.

Designed for business, the product protects individual users while surfing, and simultaneously protects the computer from external threats. All the computers can be activated and monitored at the same time. There is no need to keep track of software and hardware that need to be renewed, as the security center manages it all.

Activating and managing Security Suite is simple as it is integrated with MyAccount. Its firewall and identity theft protection helps to check fraud and identity theft.

IT administrators and office supervisors can manage the entire set up with the centralized Web-based management in the SecurityCenter console. Installation, configuration, reporting and setting policies and managing office groups or individual PCs, as well as customized reporting widgets and scheduling on demand scans can be attended to with no hassles.

Cox Business Security Suite is both time and cost efficient. The solution minimizes system downtime and provides uninterrupted protection with automatic scans and updates to ensure small business users are safe from ongoing online threats and cyber-criminals.

Customers will receive between 2 and ten licenses, based on their high-speed data tier package. Additional licenses in packages of five, 10, 15 and 25 can be purchased by its data customers.

To activate Cox Business Security Suite, users just need to login to MyAccount, the Cox Business customer management portal, and continue to work.

Cox Business provides voice, data and video services for nearly 250,000 small and regional businesses, including healthcare providers, K-12 and higher education, financial institutions and federal, state and local government organizations.

In a related news release, Cox business announced the launch of free Cox Wi-Fi hotspots across Rhode Island. Cox WiFi (News - Alert) powered by Cox Business is a network of customer-facing businesses that offer Cox Business Managed WiFi service. Customers of these businesses can login and surf the Web for free at local hotspots.
