DNS - AnchorFree Introduces Expat Shield to Help People Abroad Connect with Their Family

AnchorFree Inc. is the manufacturer of Hotspot Shield which is the well known free privacy tool in the world. Recently, the company introduced a product called Expat Shield. It is particularly designed to help people in abroad to stay in touch with friends and family by offering private, safe and complete access to the Web regardless of where they reside. Expat Shield also facilitates users to buy products from retailers in US and have them shipped irrespective of the location. Expat Shield is available free of cost and maintain all privacy and security features of Hotspot Shield. The extra features are intended to give a customized Web experience for those traveling or staying out of their home town.

In a release, David Gorodyansky, who is the founder and CEO of AnchorFree, said that 'While expatriates may be located thousands of miles away from loved ones, Expat Shield smoothes the transition by allowing them to stay connected with friends via services like Skype (News - Alert) and Facebook, as well as retain access to news subscriptions and other social services, often unavailable overseas. We've developed Expat Shield to help unite families separated by work assignments and allow their transition to be as seamless as possible. Users working in or traveling to other countries will feel as if they never left home.'

In the opinion of UN statistics, today, more than 200 million people are staying and working from abroad with the vast portion of expatriates originating from the United States and Great Britain. For the first time, AnchorFree's Expat Shield makes it very simple for expats to have the feeling of staying at home while abroad.

Expat Shield helps overseas people to freely access reputed news and information sites like Google (News - Alert), The Wall Street Journal, CNN and BBC, that are usually not available overseas, and also to link to social networking sites like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and MySpace (News - Alert). This facility aids them to retain their relationships during their travels. Expat Shield also provides users with the facility to shop on US-only e-commerce sites via a joint venture with US Unlocked which claims to be the first and only company to offer global shoppers access to any US-only e-commerce site.
