For a hosting company, DNS is the most deciding factor of their business. Businesses will fail if they lack a secure and stable platform. After using a software-based solution for a long period, MaximumASP has finally decided to evaluate its external DNS options. The company was just in need of a new solution. It expected the solution to provide stability, a solid operating system and an improved security platform that can effectively survive distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.

Infoblox fit the bill with its reliable and scalable appliance platforms, unique Grid technology and intuitive GUI. Now, DNS is the easiest responsibility for my team and we are confident that our DNS infrastructure will support our future growth."

After checking quite a lot of vendors, MaximumASP has chosen Infoblox-2000 and -1550 platforms with Infoblox's exclusive Grid technology. The Infoblox appliances are located in MaximumASP's data center in Kentucky and support the company's wide-reaching customer base.

The Infoblox-2000 hardware platform is mainly intended to be installed in data centers, large enterprises and service provider environments. The fault tolerant Infoblox-2000 consists of completely surplus, hot-swappable components to guarantee consistency. The Infoblox-2000 can be deployed singularly or as a Grid member.

MaximumASP is administering DNS via a blend of the Infoblox GUI and custom tools. This helps to leverage Infoblox API for zone and record management.
