DNS - Hosting Metro Partners with Cloud Linux Inc. to Offer New OS to Customers

CloudLinux Inc. is a software company dedicated to serving the requirements of hosting service providers. Hosting Metro is a well known Web hosting provider with datacenters in the U.S. and Canada. CloudLinux recently announced that Hosting Metro will integrate CloudLinux into its standard Linux Operating Systems (OS) for its customers.

Hosting Metro offers wide-ranging portfolio of Web hosting solutions from domain names to dedicated servers. The company offers plans for shared hosting, email hosting, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), application hosting and SaaS (News - Alert) hosting for small businesses. The reason behind the adoption of CloudLinux is its ground-breaking Lightweight Virtual Environment (LVE) technology.

The small business and enterprise customers of Hosting Metro rely on a stable infrastructure to host their business IT requirements. These include websites, email and databases. With this integration, Hosting Metro can provide their customers with:

--Increased uptime since no one account can slow down or take down an entire shared server
--Better dependability and performance with a server that runs at a peak operating capacity
--Compatibility with all main control panels for easy management

CloudLinux makes use of a kernel-level technology that limits the amount of resources available to a group of processes. This technology is entirely transparent and light weighted. Once installed, it works clearly to manage resources on a shared hosting server.

In a release Igor Seletskiy, founder and CEO of CloudLinux, said 'Hosting Metro's Web hosting offerings are based on providing reliable and resilient services to its diverse customer base. CloudLinux will provide the control and performance to deliver the high quality services demanded by Hosting Metro's clients'.
With this innovative technology, Hosting Metro's support engineers are enabled to increase control by limiting the amount of resources available to a group of processes. This is accomplished by utilizing command line control to manage the CPU and I/O. This helps to ensure that each account on a shared server assigns sufficient resources to operate proficiently without risking other customers on that server. This helps to make the server more stable and deliver better performance.

CloudLinux helps the hosting companies and data centers with the only commercially supported Linux operating system optimized for their needs.
