DNS - Dyn Inc. Set to Popularize DNS Technology

Those who work backstage should be brought under the limelight at least once in a while to recognize their talents. In the technology domain, Dynamic Network Services (News - Alert) Inc. (Dyn Inc.), has been ready to do the same thing to DNS technology, which is a widely used, but largely unknown technology among the general public.

Dyn Inc. specializes in DNS, email and domain name services for customers in over 200 countries. Although many active users understand the importance of DNS in the internet world, many others simply don't understand that internet would not exist without DNS. Web users that use DNS on a daily basis but have no idea their favorite websites could not be accessed without the use of DNS, says Dyn Inc.

"We are constantly striving to make technological improvements by working closely with some of the best brands of the Web,' added Kyle York (News - Alert), VP, Sales and Marketing at Dyn Inc. 'While we are happy to be behind the scenes powering DNS infrastructure for our clients, we also think it's important to make DNS a household name so that everyone can relate to its importance.'

Dyn Inc. is trying to bring in some fun on this extremely technical industry with the launch of their 'DNS is Sexy' campaign. The personal relationships people have with their favorite brand is the kind of relationship Dyn Inc. hopes to build around the DNS technology. The company is taking their message on the road with a strong line up of industry events and speaking opportunities to popularize this concept.

Recently, the company announced that The GLOBE Program, a .gov domain, chooses the Dynect Platform to implement the DNSSEC mandate made by the Executive Office of the President, Office of Management and Budget (OMB). DNSSEC (DNS Security Extensions) adds a layer of security to the Domain Name System (DNS) that verifies identity and authenticity of domain names when being accessed by an Internet user.
