DNS - AOL Now Offering Lifestream for the Desktop

AOL’s popular social aggregator, Lifestream, is now available as a standalone product for the desktop -- as well as for the iPhone and Android (News - Alert) mobile platforms.

With Lifestream, users can view status messages and posts from their friends on Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites using a single application. The updated version of Lifestream also supports foursquare and MySpace (News - Alert).

AOL claims that Lifestream has gained nearly 2 million users since its launch a few months ago, making it one of the largest aggregators of social content on the Web.

With Lifestream, a user can post an update once and have it distributed to all of their social network pages simultaneously, eliminating the need to post to separate social networking sites separately.
