DNS - Movial Launches Qt Services in North-America

Movial, a pioneer in mobile Linux solutions, announced the launch of its professional Qt Services for the North American market.

Qt is a cross-platform application framework designed for developing application software with graphical user interface (GUI) and also used for developing non-GUI programs like command-line tools and consoles for servers.

A Qt Certified Partner, Movial (News - Alert) enables desktop, Web, industrial embedded and mobile application developers to expedite Qt related services including Qt performance analysis, customization and optimization, application and widget development, hardware integration, consulting and support as well as hands on team training.

“Movial’s expert developers have all the necessary skills required for delivering a full project from user interface and interaction design and implementation to enabling hardware peripherals and graphics acceleration on Linux platforms,” said Wade Vesey, CEO of Movial North America, in a statement. “As a Qt Certified Partner we look forward to increasing customer satisfaction and expanding Qt usage.”

Movial team has gained extensive experience in Qt user interface and application creation for numerous form factors including mobile phones, tablets, smart- and netbooks, as well as various industrial and recreational devices.

The company has expertise in using Qt’s styling support and extendibility to transform plain mobile phone UI’s into graphically rich experiences. By using the device specific acceleration of the Qt rendering pipeline, developers can speed up common tasks such as Web browsing and enable graphical effects and novel UIs.

On recreational devices, Movial has leveraged the Qt user interface with OpenGL ES accelerated visual effects and kinetic finger-input with multiplatform support to develop custom ARM (News - Alert)-based network-enabled touchscreen devices, company officials added.

For industrial application, Movial has created and integrated the Qt UI into single-purpose touchscreen mobile devices and numerous peripherals, they said.

Using Qt WebKit, Movial also improved usability and visual appeal for many new and existing smart- and netbooks and tablet devices. In a recently created 3D Flickr HTML5 demo, Movial showcases its expertise and in-depth knowledge of Qt WebKit, WebGL and HTML5.

Recently Movial announced that MegaFon, a large Russian MNO, has launched “MultiFon,” a comprehensive mass market integrated PC, mobile and Web communications service that is powered by Movial Communicator, TMCnet reported.
